The project consists of the construction of a new carriageway freeway alongside the existing 2-lane single carriageway freeway. 14 existing bridges (of which 6 across rivers) and 13 major culverts structures (of which 5 across rivers) will be extended or new structures constructed next to existing to accommodate traffic to the new carriageway.
